Netflix rolled out support for Hindi on its platform last week. Netflix’s Hindi language support is available on its mobile, TV and web apps. Also, it’s not restricted to users in India and any Netflix user outside the country can switch to the Hindi interface.
With Hindi language support on Netflix, users can now sign up, search for content, make payments and look up collections in Hindi. The new update is available on Netflix and users can start using it. In case you’re wondering how to switch from English to Hindi on Netflix, follow these simple steps.
1. Open Netflix on your web browser.
2. Sign in to your Netflix account and select your profile.
3. Then select ‘Manage profiles’ and click on the language drop down menu.
4. From here select Hindi as your preferred language.
5. Save your preferences and Netflix will be updated with Hindi.
As you may have already noticed, the language change can be done only through Netflix’s web app. It’s not possible on the Android or iOS app of Netflix. Also, Netflix lets you keep the different language setting different for each profile. Netflix supports up to five profiles in one account.
The latest update on Netflix comes as the platform’s efforts to push for wider reach in India. Netflix launched its first mobile-only plan in India after testing it in other regions. It’s testing another mobile plan priced at ₹349 that offers HD viewing, and support for laptops as well. Netflix also announced 17 new titles in India. These include Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Ludo, Torbaaz, Mismatched and more.
